Description of the Wood

Semi-heavy wood with pink or whitish sapwood, certainly different to the light red heartwood in its natural state that changes to crimson or dark red with ageing. A high-quality wood due to its appearance, grain that is often crossed or wavy, which leads to the creation of surfaces that have clear mooring or striped effects. It has a medium texture.

Description of the Wood

Sea-heavy wood with undifferentiated yellowish-white sapwood and heartwood in its natural state, then light brownish pink. It has a texture that varies from fine to medium and usually straight grain that’s sometimes slightly wavy to lend a moire effect. Its appearance and origin are similar to Longhi, with which it is often confused.
